ABOUT OUR

PROGRAMS

Infant

The goals for the Infant program consist of four subject areas:

• Language Arts

• Cognitive Development

• Sensory Stimulation

• Music/Socialization

• Motor Skills

These subject areas are taught on a daily basis. Each subject area has a set of goals that the infants should master before they transition into the next classroom.

Toddler

The goals of the Toddler program consist of seven subject areas:

• Language Arts

• Cognitive Development

• Creative Arts

• Music/Movement

• Motor Skills

• Dramatic Play/Social Science

• Discovery

These seven subject areas are taught in a large group setting. There are three additional subjects in the Toddler room than the Infant room. The goals for each subject area are varied according to a monthly theme that is the same throughout the school. These goals should be mastered before the children transition into the next classroom.

Two’s

The goals of the Two Year old program also consist of seven subject areas:

• Language Arts

• Cognitive Development

• Creative Arts

• Music/Movement

• Motor Skills

• Dramatic Play/Social Science

• Discovery

The goals for these seven subject areas are taught at a Two Year old level. They are also correlated with a monthly theme that is the same throughout the school. Based on readiness, potty training is introduced in this classroom. This is a group effort, so both parent and teacher would work together with the child to master this milestone.

Preschool (3 Yrs.)

The goals for Preschool program consist of eight subject areas:

• Language Arts

• Cognitive Development/Math

• Creative Arts

• Music/Movement

• Motor Skills

• Dramatic Play/Social Science

• Discovery

• Computer Lab

These subjects are taught in small and large group settings. There is a “Zoo-Phonics” program taught in addition to the eight subjects. This program focuses on the alphabet and sounding out each letter with an animal sound. All of these skills are taught on a daily basis.

Pre-Kindergarten (4-5 Yrs.)

The goals of the Pre-Kindergarten program also consist of eight subject areas:

• Language Arts

• Cognitive Development/Math

• Creative Arts

• Music/Movement

• Motor Skills

• Dramatic Play/Social Science

• Discovery

• Computer Lab

The Pre-Kindergarten program is also taught in small and large groups. The eight subjects are taught at a higher level than Preschool to prepare the children for their Kindergarten year. The “Zoo-Phonics” program is also taught at a higher level which includes upper and lower case printing and sight word recognition.

School Age children/ Summer Program (Kindergartens – 12 Yrs)

Both our after school program and our summer program are designed to provide children time to play outdoors, interact with friends, explore creative arts, play games, work puzzles, and construct with various manipulatives and blocks. Each child receives individual attention in the relaxed but active environment, with attention given to social needs as well as developmental needs. We believe that children need to complete assigned school projects with teacher assistance, eat, rest, play, and pursue other activities of interest. We strive to provide a safe and fun environment for School Age children.
